We are very super grateful to Harry Gutteridge, Ross Harrison and Brian Kearns who ran the Tough Mudder 15K in Gloucester in support of Phrenix in 2hrs 30 mins. Harry and his wife Katie both knew Josh from school and his business. These guys have raised in excess on a thousand pound so far which is fantastic as it will enable us to finance at least two or more visits to The Wave for at least another 32 youngsters from SEN schools.
Phrenix have now introduced 61 young students to surfing!!!!
This is Alfie on his second visit to The Wave. We think he is pretty awsome and so do the instructors.
A big wipe out that would put some off.
But there is an instructor close by to catch him...
...and another intructor to help him back on his board and off he goes again. Good job Alfie.
Alfie's mum said..
Alfie thoroughly enjoyed the trip , he was buzzing when he came home.
His work experience is going really well, Alfie thrown himself into it and has shown a great work ethic. To say we are proud of him is an understatement.
I am more than happy for Phrenix to use the photos containing Alfie. We can’t thank them enough, what a wonderful experience to give the students.
Pauline.
The instructors at The Wave are incredible at what they do!!!

It's been quite the year for Phrenix as we've started our journey in looking to support young people through sport! We would like to think that Josh would be proud of what we've achieved as a charity, in particular being able to support 32 youngsters from Yewstock SEN in visiting The Wave in Bristol for a surfing lesson.
We're not stopping there and have plans to help even more young people in 2023!
On 8th June, Phrenix were able to provide support that enabled Yewstock School and College to attend a session at 'The Wave' in Bristol, and what a time they had!
The Headmaster, Clive Padgett, quoted…” we were very pleased to be able to support the important work of Phrenix who do so much to help others achieve good mental health. ” -
On 27th March 2022. our Trustee James ran the Weston Super Mare Half Marathon carrying a surfboard in memory of Josh and raised over £2,500, please click the link below to find out more!
